YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Claims Support Specialist will strive to deliver an exceptional experience to our valued internal and external clients by processing transactions and providing services for high-touch and high-volume interactions of lower to medium complexity within the Business Services Unit (BSU).

This position is part of the claims care team, which collaborates with and supports claims teams across the organization daily. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and adaptability.

The Claims Support Specialist will:

  • Acquire knowledge of all routine transactions within the assigned function and work independently within 6-12 months.
  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide continuous improvement feedback.
  • Achieve individual goals aligned with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Escalate issues and non-routine transactions to a supervisor as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of work experience required, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms used by Preferred Mutual, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, is desired.
