Job Summary:

Ganahl Lumber Co: Load Builder Job Description

The Load Builder is responsible for loading and unloading building materials and other incoming materials for delivery or storage. This role involves ensuring accurate inventory management, safe equipment operation, and efficient material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of material handling equipment to move loads, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand.
  • Inspect outgoing work for compliance with order requirements and review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures.
  • Check inventory system to determine availability of requested merchandise and notify appropriate departments when supplies are low.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and adhere to company policies and work requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • The ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to operate various hand and power tools when needed.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of related experience preferred.

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and working either indoors or outdoors. The ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly and push/pull up to 75 pounds regularly is also required.

Estimated salary range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year.
