POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in managing all accounting activities. Responsibilities will encompass establishing and upholding accounting principles, practices, and procedures; supervising the preparation and assessment of financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; and delivering insights and recommendations to Senior Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in month-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries and budget-to-actual analyses.
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, ensuring general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution of discrepancies.
- Support the General Manager with weekly forecasting updates.
- Review accounts receivable balances and conduct collections as necessary.
- Facilitate daily cash deposits and coordinate logistics for armored car services.
- Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Generate monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
- Prepare audit schedules and manage the filing of sales/use tax forms across multiple states.
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty at the highest level. The following qualifications are required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects and completing tasks accurately and thoroughly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative team player committed to meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX is essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands of this position include regular sitting, talking, and hearing; using hands to manipulate controls; and frequently reaching with hands and arms. The role also requires standing, walking, and stooping, with specific vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
