Job Summary

Vestis is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hibbing, MN. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, structures, and electrical systems at our industrial laundry facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist other technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools
  • Operate powered equipment and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, and external devices
  • Assist in the development of technical and training documentation
  • Provide resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues and document all information relating to customer support issues
  • Follow up with other departments to ensure issues have been resolved
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, post-high school education/training preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, PLC's and Controls)
  • Ability to work well with associates and represent the organization in a positive manner
  • 2 – 4 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or installation
  • Industrial Laundry experience is a plus but not necessary
  • Previous Boiler experience a plus
  • Previous Waste Water Treatment knowledge a plus
  • Skills in welding, hand and power tools, and electrical motors
  • C. literate, familiarity with Internet-based software, MS Office, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Dedication to promoting a strong culture of safety
  • Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes as required
