Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Lifelong Access is a leading provider of services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of early intervention specialists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for children from birth to age 18.
  • Deliver speech and language services, including creating materials to support communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with families, including educating parents on helpful therapy approaches and in-home strategies.
  • Maintain professional documentation, including progress reports and session notes.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, colleagues, and families on the development and implementation of communication tools and strategies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois Speech Language Pathology License.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy.
  • Familiarity with developmental milestones for speech and language.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and a desire to learn and grow in the profession.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, Applied Behavior Analysis, sensory and behavioral strategies and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
