The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) at Creighton University School of Medicine is embarking on a strategic initiative to enhance its research capabilities significantly over the next five years. We particularly encourage candidates whose research interests are centered on the innate and adaptive immune responses to microbial infections, neuroimmunology, autoimmunity, cancer immunology, or immunotherapy.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a PhD, MD, or an equivalent degree, demonstrating a strong record of research achievement.
Successful candidates are expected to develop a robust independent research program that ideally complements existing research themes and fits within the collaborative environment of the School of Medicine. There will be ample opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration with colleagues across various basic science and clinical departments, as well as with faculty from Creighton's undergraduate college and health professional schools, including nursing, pharmacy, and dentistry. Competitive startup funding, laboratory space, and access to cutting-edge core facilities will be provided.
Moreover, candidates will be expected to engage in the education of graduate and professional students within the health sciences. Additional departmental information can be found through the appropriate channels.
