About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
  • Perform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, or customer's approved equivalent
  • Coordinate with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authorities
  • Work across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls
  • Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds
Key Qualifications
  • Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience
  • Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
