About the Role
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the boiler plant, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boiler systems, including engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels, and adjust as necessary.
- Inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Record data and maintain logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity.
- Support the overall maintenance of patient rooms and the interior/exterior of the work environment.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of boilers, gauges, and valves.
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Boiler Operator experience in a healthcare environment.
Licenses and Certifications
- Blue Seal or Red Seal or Gold Seal (dependent on location).
