Stationary Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain boilers, engines, and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels, and adjust as necessary to maintain safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Record data and maintain logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the overall maintenance of patient rooms and the interior/exterior of the work environment, including tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and painting.

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of boilers, gauges, and valves.
• 3-5 years of general maintenance experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous boiler operator experience in a healthcare environment.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Minimum Blue Seal (if incumbent has a Red Seal or a Gold Seal, a Blue Seal is not required).
