STV is seeking a skilled Roofing Inspector to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a Roofing Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction methods and workmanship meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Act as a consultant to resolve construction problems and ensure quality workmanship
  • Mentor and develop technical employees in test and inspection procedures
  • Calculate payments due to contractors for work completed
  • Consult with project engineers and contractors on work progress and construction problems
  • Observe and inspect ongoing construction work
  • Oversee construction record-keeping activities and recommend payments to contractors
  • Train and mentor less experienced inspectors on work methods

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and repairs, construction inspection, engineering support, materials, or process inspection
  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable degree
  • NYC Agency experience (NYCHA, SCA) a plus
