Job Title: Senior Facilities Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Engineer to join our team at EDG Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process and mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing oil and gas production facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop process and mechanical systems for oil and gas production facilities
  • Perform conceptual engineering for new field or plant developments
  • Develop and review process design basis details and documentation
  • Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams
  • Develop and review technical specifications for process equipment and instruments
  • Perform and review process/mechanical engineering studies
  • Develop and review P&IDs, mechanical flow sheets, and safety flow diagrams
  • Provide technical support to procurement efforts
  • Develop regulatory submittals

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering design and/or project management of oil and gas and/or industrial facilities
  • Familiarity with engineering and design requirements for projects associated with oil and gas production facilities and equipment installations
  • Experience with developing sizing calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and data sheets associated with oil and gas production facilities
  • Ability to travel to client sites, both onshore and offshore

Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations
  • Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry twenty (20) pounds
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations
  • Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties
