Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Cost Accountant to join our team at Express Employment Professionals. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for analyzing and reviewing site manufacturing costs, providing financial reports and analysis, and managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and review site manufacturing costs, including variable and fixed costs of manufacture.
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to support site management.
  • Manage inventory, including raw materials, semi-finished, finished, stores, and sub-stores.
  • Analyze material costing and valuation.
  • Support annual budget development.
  • Prepare utility cost reports and utility usage trend analysis.
  • Perform month-end closing responsibilities, including process order review and closure, inventory adjustments, utility consumptions, raw material receipts and consumptions.
  • Interface with operations team and management to provide key financial information.
  • Reconcile accounts and conduct routine audits.
  • Interface with supply chain organization to manage freight and terminal costs.
  • Prepare governmental and industrial reports and surveys.
  • Audit stores cycle counts.
  • Assist in special projects for process improvements.
  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis Team.
  • Manage daily and monthly foreign exchange rates.
  • Process monthly intercompany commissions.
  • Manage site fuel purchases and expense distribution.
  • Oversee precious metal purchases, movement, and losses.
