The Cost Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in the financial operations of Giovanni Rana, focusing on accurate cost management and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compile comprehensive cost reports related to production or sales for various departments.
  • Review work orders to ensure all necessary information is complete and that no outstanding issues remain.
  • Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate records in the ERP system (JDEdwards).
  • Support the month-end closing processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Contribute as a key member during year-end physical inventory and the closing of financial records.
  • Monitor daily production metrics, including kilograms produced by plant and line.
  • Investigate discrepancies in reporting, including errors in lot tracking and other variances.
  • Update Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) reports and track downtimes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in clerical accounting roles.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software systems.
  • Capability to execute basic accounting tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with data entry and word processing.
  • Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues.
  • Competence in reading, sorting, checking, counting, and verifying numerical data.
  • Skilled in preparing standard administrative documentation.
