Position: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Onsite, Permanent, Full Benefits
Shift: First Shift, $28-$43/hr

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in machinery, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Address PLC-related challenges, performing necessary repairs.
  • Conduct emergency and routine maintenance tasks, including work during weekends and off-hours.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and controllers.
  • Assist in project installations as directed by the Process Engineer.
  • Analyze electrical malfunctions in equipment, swiftly diagnosing and rectifying issues to minimize production interruptions.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols consistently.
  • Manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, identifying any shortages.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections and compile detailed facility reports.
  • Engage in all plant safety initiatives actively.
  • Prioritize safety-related repairs as identified by the safety committee.
  • Provide weekly updates on safety repairs and their status to the Process Engineer.
  • Complete required computer-based training monthly or as assigned.
  • Comply with all established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding issues and solutions.
  • Consult regularly with all operational teams within the facility.
  • Read and interpret instructions, diagrams, and manuals; proficiently use meters, hand tools, and shop equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid Massachusetts Journeyman License.
  • High school diploma is required; an Associate's degree is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with HMI equipment is a plus (training will be provided).
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC is preferred (training will be provided).
  • Experience in heavy industry electrical systems and production equipment is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in electrical maintenance is required.
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to work extended hours and lift over 50 lbs is necessary.
