{"Job Title": "Trauma Registrar", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Trauma Registrar to join our team at DHR Health. As a Trauma Registrar, you will be responsible for accurately entering data into the registry system and assisting with the collection and coordination of initial data. You will work closely with physicians, patients, and nursing staff to ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of all trauma registry issues.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain patient, staff, and DHR information and documents in compliance with hospital policies regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
* Demonstrate knowledge of the components of Trauma Services and the functions of the Registry software.
* Assist in printing, organizing charts for abstraction and review.
* Assist in abstracting charts utilizing the Trauma Services Data Collection Forms.
* Assist in assigning AIS and ISS scores.
* Enter and maintain patient information in the Texas EMS/Trauma Registry for DHR.
* Participate in the Trauma Performance Improvement process.

Requirements:

* High School diploma/GED
* Minimum three years' experience with computer data entry and/or Microsoft Office Suite software applications preferred.
* Good written and verbal communication skills required.
* Bilingual-English/Spanish preferred
* Able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, nursing staff, and allied health providers.
* Completed American Trauma Society (ATS) Trauma Registrar Course within 6 months of employment.
* Completed the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM), Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course within 6 months of employment.

* Provide excellent customer service to all DHR customers.

* Employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit.
