About the Role

The Cluster Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely closing of the books for the cluster. This will involve managing the period-end process, working closely with the Service Delivery Centre and Global Business Services (GBS) teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate and timely closing of the books for the cluster
  • Manage the period-end process, including ensuring that policies, processes, and controls are in place locally
  • Be the main point of contact for the GBS Service Delivery Lead and ensure timely response and communication
  • Provide relevant information to the Service Delivery Centre in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with Group Finance to ensure the application of Group Accounting policies at the Cluster level
  • Support stakeholders' decision-making processes by ensuring the right accounting rules are applied
  • Lead local audits and provide all necessary financial statements and supporting documents
  • Develop effective and efficient processes for quarterly balance sheet reviews
  • Investigate and action low Internal Control Framework (ICF) ratings
  • Ensure compliance with new or enhanced ICFs
  • Facilitate close meetings, check-ins, and constant communication with the Baltimore team and SDC Warsaw
  • Develop professional relationships and become a key partner with others within the Pandora business and Group Controlling
  • Stay in the loop with key areas of close to assist in troubleshooting and keep the finance team and other key stakeholders informed on status
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in an Accounting/Controlling role
  • Accounting Degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with managing reoccurring work to meet competing due dates
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Working in a team environment
  • Highly reliable and strong sense of accountability
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of and ability to work in ERP systems (AX experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of and ability to work in reporting applications (HFM and Management Reporter is a must)
