Certification Compliance Analyst

Overview:
The Certification Compliance Analyst will meticulously evaluate all resident documentation within the assigned portfolio. This role will leverage expertise in regulatory frameworks to ensure that the organization adheres to compliance mandates.

This position will act as the main liaison for managing compliance issues, addressing concerns from relevant authorities, and facilitating communication with property management.


Compensation:
$23 - $29/hour based on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute initial, annual, and interim certifications while calculating retroactive rent in accordance with federal regulations.

2. Determine rental amounts for annual and interim certifications.

3. Identify households with income discrepancies and adjust rent accordingly.

4. Assess applicant files to establish eligibility for housing assistance programs.

5. Adhere to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and housing assistance guidelines.

6. Inform residents about upcoming certification processes.

7. Organize initial interviews for certifications.

8. Prepare third-party verification documentation.

9. Maintain accurate resident files and associated paperwork.

10. Review tenant accounts for outstanding balances.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in certification compliance.

- Proficient knowledge of housing assistance programs and regulatory standards.

- Familiarity with Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports.

- Comprehensive understanding of HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Notary public certification is preferred.

- COS certification is advantageous.

- Experience with Management Occupancy Reviews (MOR).

- Proficient in Yardi software.

- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
Flexibility in work hours is essential. Travel by air and land may be required.

Ability to work in various property locations, including those in transitional neighborhoods.

Physical capability to navigate stairs, use elevators, and perform bending, squatting, and overhead reaching.
