Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for administering the nursing program in our long-term care facility, ensuring the highest standards of resident care and quality of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the nursing program to maintain standards of resident care and quality of service
  • Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process to improve efficiency and quality of service
  • Oversee the overall quality of care provided by nursing personnel and advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing service and strategies
  • Interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups
  • Monitor operations of nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards
  • Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Provide nursing care to residents as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing activities and programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
  • Five years of nursing experience required, with housing with services, HUD, and/or assisted living experience helpful
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing practice act and standards of nursing care, and a working knowledge of administrative and management techniques
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing
