Job Overview

The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is in search of a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver assessment and intervention services for children experiencing gross motor delays and disorders. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, compassion, and respect in all interactions with colleagues, families, and the individuals we serve.

Location: Oneida & Lewis County

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage open dialogue among staff, families, and individuals receiving support.
  • Conduct initial assessments to establish eligibility and perform annual evaluations for children on the caseload.
  • Administer direct physical therapy services to assigned children.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Demonstrate and supervise the implementation of specific therapeutic methodologies.
  • Communicate with the Clinical Services Manager regarding the need for physical therapy supplies and equipment.
  • Accurately complete monthly billing information in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid New York State Physical Therapy License.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in evaluating and treating children with communication disorders within the birth to school-aged demographic.
