Corporate Security Officer

QPS is seeking a highly skilled and flexible Corporate Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our staff, visitors, and clients in our class A office buildings, retail, and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor access control systems, including turnstiles, cameras, and loading docks.
- Screen visitors, guests, contractors, and delivery personnel, and issue passes to authorized individuals.
- Prepare incident reports and escalate serious issues to management as per protocol.
- Provide direction and assistance to building occupants during emergency incidents.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of security experience preferred.
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and strong customer service skills.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Veterans with an honorable discharge are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- New York State Security Guard License (Required).
- 8-hour annual Security Officer refresher - current (Required).
- 16-hour on-the-job training certificate – (Required).
- Fire Guard for Impairment F-01 (Preferred), must be obtained within 2 weeks of employment.
- First Aid / AED – CPR certification (Preferred).

The position requires flexibility and an ability to work whatever schedule and hours are deemed necessary to efficiently accomplish the work and service our clients.
