Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer - Acquisition

KBR is in search of a Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer to join our dedicated team, supporting critical operations that enhance intelligence-gathering efforts through advanced overhead systems. Our mission involves commanding spacecraft and transforming the collected data into actionable insights for the US Government Intelligence Community and Military personnel.

The GEOINT Systems Engineer will act as a consultant to assist the Government in establishing new mission objectives, executing essential Systems Engineering tasks such as Requirements Management, Configuration Control, Integration, Verification, Validation, and Testing (IVV&T), as well as Risk Assessment and Readiness Evaluation. This role entails representing the Government team and collaborating with development contractors across all phases of agile software development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and the operational deployment of mission-critical software. The Ground Enterprise is committed to fostering innovation and agile methodologies to meet intelligence demands and expedite the delivery of vital information to US Government decision-makers. This role carries significant responsibility, advising the US Government and supporting essential missions in GEOINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Award Acquisition Support: Offer expert advice, recommendations, and documentation assistance to various offices during the acquisition pre-award phase, including:
  • Preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)
  • Support for Acquisition Strategies
  • Cost Estimation
  • Conducting Market Research & Surveys
  • Development of Quality Assurance Plans
  • Preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs)
  • Source Selection Processes
  • Other miscellaneous pre-award documentation
  • Award/Selection Support: Assist in source selection by reviewing contract award documents and providing acquisition support
  • Familiarity with the overall GEOINT ground customer and technical knowledge of mission control and/or processing of various GEOINT systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
  • Over 10 years of experience in GEOINT systems engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of GEOINT mission planning and scheduling systems
  • Experience with system-to-system interfaces and integration
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
