Job Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patrons and employees at Gila River Hotels & Casinos. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external guests.
  • Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures, including water closets, urinals, and faucets.
  • Replace lamps and fluorescent light tubes on light fixtures.
  • Change HVAC system filters and perform maintenance on exhaust fans as required.
  • Assist with the upkeep, refurbishment, and maintenance of all building systems, including the execution of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in emergency response plans, including fire and bomb scenarios.
  • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing fixture repair methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity and various types of lighting fixtures.
  • Knowledge of various aspects of maintenance service.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to perform the GILA WAY: Greet, Interact, Listen, Appreciate.
  • Excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to responsibilities within one year.
