Adjunct Faculty Position in Dental Hygiene at UC Blue Ash College

About the Opportunity
The Allied Health Department at UC Blue Ash College invites applicants for our Dental Hygienist Adjunct Faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed.)
As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for administering clinical instruction in local anesthesia, teaching, and supervising dental hygiene students. You will also be expected to use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems, hold regular office hours to meet with students, and reply to student communications in a timely manner. Additionally, you will participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part-time basis.
- Continually evaluate student coursework using best practices.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of your responsibilities.
- Review and respond to all University-related and student communications in a timely manner.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist with active license in the State of Ohio.
- Local Anesthesia license in the State of Ohio is required.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical dental hygiene environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program.
- Experience with the Eaglesoft dental software program.
