Position Overview
As a key member of our Finance/Accounting Department, the Staff Accountant will play a vital role in supporting our Finance Leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain month-end workpapers and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including periodic accounts payable and receivable entries.
  • Handle state and local tax filings as necessary for assigned branches.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to enhance their understanding of financial statements.
  • Manage, review, and reconcile fixed assets in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of inter-company accounts.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Associate with daily tasks, including invoice entry and vendor reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to support transactions and ledger balances.
  • Actively participate in the month-end close process, including accruals and trial balance reviews.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in agricultural or manufacturing accounting is preferred.

Compensation
