About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Broker to join our team in New York, NY. As a key member of our Financial Services Group, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary negotiator in acquiring carrier coverage from various insurance carriers.
  • Participate in client discussions to understand needs and develop strategies to address client requirements.
  • Identify and analyze client exposures, determining which markets to use and evaluating qualified companies in the marketplace.
  • Provide alternative options and design risk transfer/financing products for presentation to clients.
  • Develop the ability to articulate Financial Lines insurance benefits to clients and implement Financial Lines offerings whenever appropriate.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve existing Financial Lines insurance programs.
Requirements
  • Typically 7+ years of broking or underwriter experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime, and Special Risk.
  • Solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes.
  • Confirmed leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients to successfully exceed client expectations.
  • Confirmed client-facing skills, including effective presentations & communications.
  • Validated organization and ability to work with others.
  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
