At BNY Mellon, we're seeking a talented Vice President, Business Technology Liaison I to join our Depositary Receipts team. This role is a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days a week in office, and can be located out of our New York City, NY office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between the DR Business Staff and the DR Engineering team to identify technological needs and prioritize projects.
  • Manage multi-functional deliverables to ensure client, business, risk, compliance, and legal concerns are addressed during product and/or project development.
  • Maintain, enhance, develop, design, and deliver technology to the DR Business.
  • Analyze, define, and prioritize business requirements and functional or operational specifications for moderate to large projects.
  • Provide consultation to IT and business management on technology applications and planning.
  • May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project.
  • Elicit, challenge, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate into functional design and use case documents.
  • Develop project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions.
  • Plan and formulate development proposals, including equipment and human resource requirements.
  • Participate in and provide guidance on development of functional requirements and user documentation.
  • Consult internal business groups on requirements, functional architecture, and implementation.
  • Use thorough knowledge of business needs to provide design support to software and application development teams.
  • Gather and analyze information to assist in development of recommendations to address business objectives.
  • Work with business and technology teams to implement technology roadmap strategy.
  • Train users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems of moderate complexity.
  • Serve as point of contact or subject matter expert for the business on specific systems.
  • Provide technical consultation concerning business implications of application development projects.
  • Support testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems and provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Use broad knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support development of improved business processes through technology.
  • No direct reports, but will provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Lead projects and allocate work accordingly.
  • Contribute to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Years of work experience in financial services; familiarity with Depositary Receipts and banking technology applications a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with technology background.
