Position Summary:

As a Client Communication Attorney at GFI, you will play a crucial role in upholding the quality and effectiveness of our client interactions. You will serve as the primary legal contact for clients, ensuring that all communications are conducted with professionalism, empathy, integrity, and legal insight. This position demands a strong capability to navigate complex legal matters while providing clear and comprehensible explanations to our clients. Your contributions will significantly influence our clients' understanding of their legal options and our ability to manage their cases proficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to team inquiries regarding legal issues stemming from client communications.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients to inform and update them on case developments and legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to devise and coordinate effective legal strategies.
  • Conduct research on unique legal issues by identifying relevant statutes, judicial decisions, and agency rulings.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes that may impact immigration law.
  • Develop solutions to intricate legal questions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support our mission.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law institution.
  • Active Bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.
  • 2-5 years of legal experience in general immigration, with a focus on family and humanitarian-based petitions.
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential due to frequent client interactions.
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in work schedules.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Spanish.
  • Outstanding computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
