Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Two Trees Physical Therapy & Wellness. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physical therapists in delivering high-quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Maintenance
    • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
    • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming and comforting them, and assisting them into physical therapy apparel.
    • Perform laundry and maintain an adequate supply of clean linens.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Record daily notes under the direct supervision of a physical therapist.
    • Provide information to patients by answering their questions and requests.
  • Treatment and Education
    • Apply ice or heat packs to patients as directed by physical therapists.
    • Help patients onto exercise equipment and monitor their progress.
    • Perform prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by physical therapists.
    • Educate patients on the proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Confidentiality and Safety
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping sensitive information secure.
    • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Equipment and Supplies
    • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering them to treatment areas.
    • Position equipment for therapist access and assist patients onto equipment.
  • Inventory and Maintenance
    • Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needed supplies.
    • Ensure the operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Enhance the physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Collect garbage at the end of each working day.
    • Report any issues needing resolution to physical therapists.
