The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join the Department of Environmental Protection. The successful candidate will serve as a Senior Civil Engineer (General) within the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation. This is a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

**Job Summary:**

The Senior Civil Engineer will provide engineering evaluations of abandoned mine sites, complete project development packages, and prepare reports. The successful candidate will also collaborate with bureau staff and travel to potential project sites throughout the Commonwealth.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide engineering evaluations of abandoned mine sites
* Complete project development packages for the Cambria district office design section
* Prepare reports and collaborate with bureau staff
* Travel to potential project sites throughout the Commonwealth
* Perform permit review tasks for the Permit Review Chief of the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation

**Requirements:**

* Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
* Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
* Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License
* Ability to perform essential job functions
