The primary responsibility is to evaluate, implement, and operationalize security protocols to ensure a robust security posture and effective response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of security infrastructure design and configurations.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of network-connected devices, analyze results, and take necessary actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluate the risk level of any identified security incidents and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks or escalate to the relevant resources for further action.
  • Collaborate with relevant organizational personnel to formulate and execute remediation strategies for identified security incidents.
  • Assist in the evaluation of security for proposed system implementations.
  • Contribute to the formulation of security policies and procedures tailored to meet organizational requirements.
  • Review and analyze system logs and alerts from various security monitoring systems on a scheduled basis.
  • Monitor and report on the capacity, operational performance, and readiness of the security infrastructure.
  • Ensure the operational readiness of various components of the security framework.
  • Implement modifications to the security infrastructure to ensure alignment with applicable organizational policies.
  • Provide regular operational security status updates to the Information Technology Security Administrator and other designated personnel.
  • Utilize a range of software and hardware tools, including both vendor-specific and open-source solutions, to assess security issues and maintain ongoing security monitoring.
  • Document actions taken to remediate security incidents.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: 2 – 5 years in a related field.

Certifications:

Required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire:

  • CISSP, GIAC, COMPTIA Security+, or other relevant security certifications are desirable.

Patient Interaction:

While in this role, the employee does not have direct responsibility for patient care.
