(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - A well-established non-profit organization and accredited behavioral health provider, serving the community since 1967, is in search of a skilled Psychiatrist (opportunities available for both Adult and Child/Adolescent).

The Psychiatrist will conduct thorough assessments of assigned patients to establish a differential psychiatric diagnosis and a comprehensive biopsychosocial case formulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and/or engage in the treatment process for all patients under their care.
  2. Evaluate patients for the necessity of psychiatric/psychotropic medications and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications based on psychiatric evaluations.
  3. Request relevant laboratory tests to aid in the differential diagnosis and to ensure the safety of prescribed medications.
  4. Collaborate with other internal and external healthcare providers regarding shared patients' treatment and care plans.
  5. Review and authorize all internal agency and external documents requiring physician signatures that relate to patient treatment and welfare.
  6. Participate in medical staff meetings as required.
