Psychiatrist Position for Underserved Communities

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - A well-established non-profit organization and accredited behavioral health provider, serving the community since 1967, is in search of a skilled Psychiatrist (opportunities available for both Adult and Child/Adolescent).
The Psychiatrist will conduct thorough assessments of assigned patients to establish a differential psychiatric diagnosis and a comprehensive biopsychosocial case formulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or engage in the treatment process for all patients under their care.
- Evaluate patients for the necessity of psychiatric/psychotropic medications and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications based on psychiatric evaluations.
- Request relevant laboratory tests to aid in the differential diagnosis and to ensure the safety of prescribed medications.
- Collaborate with other internal and external healthcare providers regarding shared patients' treatment and care plans.
- Review and authorize all internal agency and external documents requiring physician signatures that relate to patient treatment and welfare.
- Participate in medical staff meetings as required.
