Behavioral Health Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at SolutionHealth. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services, you will be responsible for representing our services within Southern New Hampshire Health and to other public constituencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with employees, patients, and other health disciplines to promote a positive work environment.
- Devote at least thirty-six hours per week to patient clinical time and four hours per week to administrative time.
- Attend pertinent committee and staff meetings.
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists and Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to ensure overall patient care and compliance.
- Provide clinical oversight and care to patients on the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Review potential admissions to the Behavioral Health Unit from SolutionHealth and external facilities.
- Provide clinical oversight of the Partial Hospitalization Program and the Intensive Outpatient Program.
- Collaborate with ACCESS clinicians.
- Provide occasional on-site consultation at SolutionHealth Main Campus, as needed.
- Participate in after-hours clinical on-call duties to provide 24/7 psychiatric coverage, as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of behavioral health services and treatment provided by the medical staff.
- Supervise and teach third- and fourth-year medical students during their behavioral health rotation.
- Perform all required clinical documentation pertaining to patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of reported and recorded information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Requirements:
- MD/DO degree and meeting the training and experience requirements for examination by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
- Current NH Board of Medicine License or working towards.
- Experience: 2+ years clinical practice.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred.
