About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) as an Adjunct or in-Residence series position. The successful candidate will have expertise in computational imaging and a proven track record of establishing pioneering research programs.

Responsibilities

The selected individual will be responsible for establishing a leading research program in computational medical imaging, competing for extramural funding, and contributing to the department's collaborative environment. A strong commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students through teaching and mentoring is essential.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or statistics. A degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, statistics, and/or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in analyzing medical images using computational techniques and specific application areas of interest include but are not limited to, image classification, image segmentation, image reconstruction, multi-modality data fusion, biomarker discovery, and quantitative phenotyping.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $200,000-$425,000 and membership in the Health Sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The position also includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
