The Pediatric ICU Clinical Nurse is a licensed professional responsible for delivering safe and effective care to a designated group of pediatric patients and their families. The role encompasses various responsibilities including:
Patient Care Responsibilities- Delivering patient care through the application of nursing theory and evidence-based practices.
- Assessing and evaluating patient care needs while utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Educating patients and families about their care plans and health promotion.
- Communicating effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Responding to patient concerns and facilitating service recovery as needed.
- Practicing patient-centered care while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
- Documenting nursing practices to support quality and performance improvement efforts.
Applicants must possess relevant clinical experience in pediatric critical care nursing and hold a valid RN license. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young patients.
