Appointment to Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees
The U.S. Department of Justice seeks qualified individuals to serve as Chapter 7 trustees in the Southern District of Ohio, primarily in the Western Division at Cincinnati. As a Chapter 7 trustee, you will be responsible for administering cases filed under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer cases filed under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code
- Receive compensation and reimbursement for expenses in each case
- Undergo a background check and qualify to be bonded
- Meet the minimum qualifications set forth in 28 C.F.R. § 58.3
Requirements:
- Strong administrative, financial, and interpersonal skills
- Fiduciary and bankruptcy experience is desirable but not mandatory
