About this Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at 2H Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing fire protection systems to meet client requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and suppression systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate fire protection systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Review and approve design documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection systems into overall building designs.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing fire protection systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, standards, and best practices in fire protection engineering.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with a focus on the design and analysis of fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic calculations and software tools used in fire protection design.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes, standards, and local building codes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
