We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Services Technician II to join our team at St. Joseph's/Candler. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and assemble instruments and equipment for use in surgical procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and supplies for use in operating rooms and other departments
- Train and mentor junior staff members in sterile processing procedures and best practices
- Clean and maintain the sterile processing department and its equipment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma and a Certificate in Sterile Processing or a related field
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field
- National Certification in Sterile Processing
- Additional certification in one of the following areas: CIS, CER, CHL, CSIS, CFER, CSPM, CASSPT
