We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Physician/ Principal Investigator to lead our clinical trials team in Raleigh, NC.

About the Position

This is a part-time, 100% on-site position with a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gastroenterology and be able to provide clinical mentorship and leadership for clinical development and trials conduct within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Physician will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical expertise in trial conduct
  • Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with colleagues in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement
  • Leading and overseeing a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in trial conduct
  • Ensuring successful execution of research protocols according to FDA regulations and GCP guidelines
  • Evaluating study volunteers' eligibility for clinical trials
  • Performing physical exams and assessments as required per research protocols
  • Completing all industry-required training
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • 10 years of post-training experience as a physician in gastroenterology
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of hire, with no history of license suspension or debarment
  • Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors
  • Strong attention to detail and leadership qualities
  • Clinical research experience
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $**$180,000 - $220,000** annually, depending on experience, plus benefits that include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings, and paid time off.
