Job Purpose

As a Family Counselor at Aspire Health Partners, your role will be to provide essential functions to assist psychiatric outpatient clients in achieving and maintaining stability. You will work with families to educate them about psychosis and its treatment, reduce relapse by encouraging medication compliance, and support clients in working towards personal recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and/or group/family counseling to clients to assist them in meeting treatment goals and objectives.
  • Document all interactions in a timely manner according to company best practices guidelines.
  • Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and other required data collection and entry.
  • Make appropriate referrals and attempt to meet clients' identified needs.
  • Ensure all discharge paperwork is completed, including discharge instructions, closing summary, residential referral, and accurate documentation of transition assessment.
  • Demonstrate respect for diverse backgrounds and treat visitors, clients, family members, and co-workers with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Level II Background clearance.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record.
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • State of Florida License (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Two years working with children and families, with internships substituting for some work experience.
  • Familiarity with play therapy, solution-focused/cognitive-behaviors/other brief therapies.
  • Knowledge of first episode psychosis/NAVIGATE intervention program.
