The SCCC Research Fellow (Part time) engages in scientific inquiry and analysis under the guidance of senior personnel. Additionally, the Research Fellow enhances institutional prestige through significant contributions to the scientific domain.This role will work collaboratively in the laboratory of Research Professor, Michele Ceccarelli, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, within the Department of Public Health Sciences, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The focus of Ceccarelli's Lab is on the creation of innovative computational techniques to uncover the primary factors driving cancer development and drug resistance through the examination and interpretation of molecular networks.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS- Conducts research on designated areas of inquiry as assigned.
- Prepares research documents and technical manuscripts for publication.
- Explores the viability of applying a diverse range of scientific principles and theories.
- Maintains extensive knowledge of cutting-edge principles and theories.
- Develops sophisticated analytical models and systems, providing insights and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
- Complies with University and unit-level policies and procedures, safeguarding University assets.
