Job Title: AI Editor

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled AI editor to join our team at War on the Rocks. As an AI editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, production, and distribution of high-quality content related to artificial intelligence in the context of defense and national security.

With a strong background in editorial processes, you will lead the writing process for all content, ensuring alignment with the newsletter's tone, style, and objectives. You will also develop and maintain an editorial calendar to plan topics, interviews, and content blocks for each installment.

The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of relevant professional experience, including four years of managing editorial processes, content creation, editing, and publication. A deep understanding of artificial intelligence in the context of defense and national security is essential, as well as a strong network of relationships among AI experts, practitioners, policymakers, etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee content creation and development
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar
  • Commission articles and interviews
  • Content editing and formatting
  • Distribution and audience engagement

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $185,000 per year

We offer a competitive salary, fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums, performance-based raises after six months, annual raises, and bonuses.
