Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Teaching: Work alongside the lead teacher to deliver lessons, manage classroom activities, and assess student progress.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized or small-group instruction to help students grasp challenging concepts and stay on track academically.
  • Lesson Planning: Assist in developing and refining lesson plans, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment by supporting classroom routines, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with the lead teacher, students, and parents to discuss student progress, areas of concern, and strategies for improvement.
  • Act as a Role Model: Make your students feel motivated while maintaining an approachable personality.
  • Perform Other Duties: As assigned by the lead teacher or school administration.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant subject.
  • Current PA teaching certification preferred, but not required.
  • Current PA background clearances are required.
  • Previous experience in a high school setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
