Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator will oversee, manage, and strategize intricate projects related to the organization's research, development, and implementation of safety solutions. This role includes assisting in the evaluation of contractor and consultant proposals and contracts, while also establishing criteria for consultant and contractor selection. The coordinator will enforce contract stipulations and address budgetary, technical, and scheduling challenges. Regular on-site inspections will be conducted to ensure that project execution aligns with established standards. The coordinator will maintain project status updates and brief senior management accordingly. Policies and procedures will be established to ensure that Pye Barker achieves its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises a team of managers and analysts to guarantee timely and specification-compliant project completion.
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their expertise and availability.
  • Leads a cross-functional team to ensure project completion with precision and efficiency.
  • Defines project tasks and delegates responsibilities accordingly.
  • Conducts financial assessments, estimating project costs.
  • Develops and implements budgets based on financial forecasts.
  • Performs risk evaluations, reporting identified risks to management and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Addresses inquiries, concerns, and complaints throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Acts as a liaison among the company, clients, and vendors.
  • Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide necessary training and information for promoting new projects and systems.
  • Adheres to all OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and industry regulations, as well as company standards and best practices.
  • Submits technical drawings for approval to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Participates in regular development meetings.
  • Addresses limitations of technologies and materials in the design process.
  • Incorporates feedback into design models.
  • Updates models as required.
  • Stays informed on advancements in materials and software technologies.
  • Utilizes extensive databases of material properties for optimal material selection.
  • Designs plumbing schematics, as-built drawings, and site water supply systems.
  • Recreates existing conditions for design coordination.
  • Interprets architectural, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.
  • Produces precise electrical schematics based on client specifications and tracks technical requirements.
  • Verifies hydraulic calculations to ensure adequate water supply in fire emergencies.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or CAPM are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective supervisory and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Comprehensive understanding of or the capacity to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
