We are seeking an experienced Field Service Automation Engineer to join our team at Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare leader committed to improving people's lives. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

About the Opportunity:

  • This position involves providing technical support and enhancing customer experience for automation accounts, focusing on proactive product support, customer loyalty, retention, and value expansion.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems, providing level I and II phone and on-site support, and resolving customer complaints for hardware, software, and reagent issues.
  • You will also perform activities to maintain system performance, assess urgency, develop recommendations, and implement solutions that align with customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Provide Level I and Level II phone and on-site support to maintain product performance or resolve customer complaints for hardware, software, and reagent issues.
  • Perform activities to maintain system performance using standard troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Assess urgency, develop recommendations, and implement solutions that align with customer and business needs.
  • Accurately record customer complaints and actions taken to resolve them.
  • Plan and prioritize visits and activities for each account.
  • Schedule and execute training events to improve customer self-sufficiency in troubleshooting and repairing analyzers.
  • Manage order, delivery, and billing of products and services for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Responsible for sales at assigned accounts.
  • Partner with Enterprise Account Manager or Sales Executive to develop and execute account-specific lab strategies and participate in customer business reviews.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience with instrumentation utilized in a laboratory environment.
  • 2 years of experience interfacing with customers.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • The base pay for this position is $63,150 per year, which translates to approximately $31.55 - $63.15 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.
