Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Auditor with a focus on application security to enhance our secure software development lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with software development teams to implement secure coding practices and security assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments including Dynamic, Static, and Software Composition Analysis to ensure robust application security.
  • Work closely with development teams to instill secure coding methodologies and practices.
  • Facilitate partnerships with distributed teams to innovate secure system designs and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate security patterns and automation tools that enhance the secure configuration and compliance of applications.
  • Contribute to the maturation of the organization’s secure software development practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years focused on security guidance and secure coding practices.
  • Proficiency in both compiled and interpreted programming languages, including but not limited to Angular, React, Java, and .NET.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, infrastructure, and secure application development.
  • Strong knowledge of application security scanning tools and the ability to articulate OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud development platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Functional Knowledge:

  • Experience with Chrome/Firefox/Edge Development tools for analyzing request/response headers.
  • Knowledge of API security practices, including JWT and OAUTH/OIDC.
  • Understanding of common vulnerabilities such as Cross Site Scripting and Injection attacks.
  • Experience with application security tools like Coverity, BlackDuck, and Fortify is a plus.
