Job Overview

The Team Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing Team Member shifts while embodying the values and culture of Saint Honor. This position involves collaborating with the restaurant Manager to ensure adherence to all company protocols and standards during each shift. The Shift Supervisor must be well-versed in both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) responsibilities. Driving results through a knowledgeable team and exceptional guest service is essential.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Shift Management:
  • Ensure all Team Members adhere to established standards of conduct and company policies.
  • Strive to provide guests with an outstanding dining experience, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in food and beverage orders.
  • Lead energetic shifts, utilizing company tools to optimize performance.
  • Be an active participant; if you identify a need, take action to address it.
  • Implement key performance measures including cleanliness, maintenance, labor management, guest service, food quality, and restaurant culture to meet company standards.
  • Act as a guest advocate, communicating needs to Team Members to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Proactively manage shift preparations and administrative tasks.
Team Leadership
  • Coach, develop, and train Team Members on proper procedures during shifts.
  • Inspire Team Members to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure the safety of Team Members and guests throughout the shift.
  • Manage and report risk management issues according to company standards; support adherence to uniform policies.
Financial Oversight
  • Assist management in areas impacting business performance, including labor cost management, waste monitoring, sales, and cost of goods.
  • Oversee daily cash handling procedures.
  • Provide accurate inventory and reporting data.
  • Respond promptly to Team Member and guest issues to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in food service, retail, or restaurant supervision.
  • Proficient in various technology systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, kneel, bend, ascend or descend stairs, and reach for objects.
  • Demonstrates initiative and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must maintain good physical condition and be attentive to the needs of management, staff, and guests.
  • Act as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the restaurant.
