Zifcare is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing regular reports, and managing our cost accounting system.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Analysis and Reporting: Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actuals.
- Cost Accounting System Management: Manage, maintain, and enhance the cost accounting system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities such as raw materials, labor, and other standard related expenses.
- Physical Inventory and Reporting: Participate/lead in physical inventories and report on results to the executive group.
- Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries related to various product lines and/or standard costs.
- New Product Development Support: Collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure costing and support new product development.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide various ad hoc reports as requested by local or executive management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting.
- Skills: Strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills, ability to identify and implement process improvements, and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
- ERP System Experience: Experience with JD Edwards ERP system.
