About the Role

The Enterprise Security Visionary for Healthcare Delivery Systems is a senior leadership position within Highmark Health, responsible for defining and implementing the company's enterprise security strategy. This individual will serve as the most senior security architect and advanced technology analyst for healthcare delivery systems and IoT within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security architectures and solutions that meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, and product management, to ensure alignment and effective communication of security principles and guidelines.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior security professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to drive security initiatives forward.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage innovation and drive business growth.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports to senior leadership, communicating complex security concepts and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Mentor and guide security teams in the development and implementation of security best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks, developing and implementing strategies to minimize business impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executive technology leadership, security professionals, and external partners.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in information security, with a strong background in security architecture and threat management.
  • 7+ years of experience as an Information Security Architect, with a deep understanding of security domains, including zero-trust, data protection, and identity and access management.
  • 3+ years of experience with data management, query processing, distributed processing, high availability, statistical, and machine learning.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and on-premise technologies, architectures, applications, and APIs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to navigate technical details and guide staff through solution development.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and guide enterprise technical programs and/or products and services business cases to successful outcomes at scale.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to methodically analyze cyber risk and offer risk-appropriate advice.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $108,000 - $199,800 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Location

This position is based in the United States, and the salary range is applicable to locations within the country.
