MNS Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer Representative to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on bridge and structures construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent analysis of technical submittals, including shoring and falsework.
- Review change orders, submittals, shop drawings, and materials testing, and prepare professional communications regarding same.
- Perform a wide variety of structure construction engineering, including bridges, retaining walls, soundwalls, pump stations, and buildings.
- Work in conjunction with technical field inspectors and project team members to ensure project goals are being met.
- Execute field inspection, structures-related contract administration, and change order preparation.
- Administer projects in the absence of the Resident Engineer.
- Manage professional and technical staff and contract administration.
- Monitor and review contractors' construction schedules.
- Prepare and file daily construction reports, diaries, and other project documents.
- Verify acceptability of material incorporated into the project and maintain material and inspection records.
- Assist with recruitment and performance evaluations.
- Primary point of contact with clients and approving agencies.
- Participate in contract claims and general claim avoidance.
- Coordinate with contractors and agencies about different tasks and projects.
- BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
- Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver's record are required.
- 7+ years construction contract management experience related to bridge and/or structures construction projects.
- Working knowledge of CALTRANS methods and procedures and municipal agency projects, as well as document coordination on federally funded projects desired.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $210,000
