Overview

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is a leading provider of mental health services in rural Tennessee. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Mental Health Therapist to join our team.

Salary

$49,273 per year, with the potential for a $6,000 signing bonus.

Job Description

This role involves providing direct mental health services to children and families in rural Cocke County. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment and provide individualized therapy sessions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual consultations to teachers to enhance classroom environments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and school staff
  • Conduct group counseling sessions with children and parents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with HRMC and CARF standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a human services field such as counseling or social work
  • At least 2 years' experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Licensed or licensed eligible
